Bought this as a replacement for a different one we had that died on us after only 2 years of use. This so far has been holding up great and cooling the house way for effectively than our old one. We bought it for an add on room that gets poor airflow and it’s so effective that when the door to the room is open the rest of the house feels cooler. The night mode is great it does reduce the noice. I usually sleep with white noise and this gives about the same level in the night mode. Norma is a bit louder but since I’m used to white noise I can easily forget about it. It was easy to install like most other portable units. This was one of the cheaper ones I was able to find when looking for a replacement and it is definitely worth it! Hopefully this one last is more than our last one did!
Works very well for our downstairs floor
I received the item very quick. I took it out to test it. It came well packaged and easy to unbox. It is very heavy but has wheels for easy maneuvering. Minor assembly of the vent and window placement. The extension makes it super easy to place at almost any window with ease. The unit also came with a remote and batteries! Install took 5 mins and it was ready to go. Operation is pretty standard and instructions are easy to follow. I ran it for about 15 mins and it got cool fast and blew very well! No leakage and noise level was as expected for a portable AC unit. Very excited to put this unit to good use during the hot summer especially when the house AC unit isn’t cutting it. Overall great quality and good price!
I’m really impressed with the cooling potency of this unit. It cooled down my living room, hallway and bedroom (I left the door open) within 5 minutes of turning it on. There’s an unusual heatwave that is expected to hit in a few days (right on the onset of spring) here in Southern California, and I cannot wait to see how well it does. This will set the tone of how well it is going to work this upcoming summer. I will update as soon as I know more!As far as the installation, it was straight forward and simple. I’m a 48 year old divorced woman who lives by herself and I required no help. It is a little loud but after all, what air conditioner isn’t? Just like any thing else, you’ll learn to tune it out. Just be patient, or just install a central air unit.
This portable AC works great
Do not purchase this Air Conditioner. It lasted less than 4 months and then stopped working. The unit displayed an E0 error code, which I learned is a main control board failure.I contacted the company, heard back from them once, and then no contact from them after that, even when I emailed them daily for a week. The machine failed in August, the warmest month of the year here in North Carolina. I ran it at a steady 78 degrees, which should not have taxed the unit since it was cooling a 400-square-foot room that is very well insulated. Extremely disappointed.
