A must have for apartments that don’t have or have laundry rooms far away. The machine is quiet enough and washes well. The size and portability is perfect, but you really do need a dolly to roll it around to really make it portable. The dolly also dampens the vibrations a bit, although I suggest a rug to put below it if you’re on the second floor to help out the neighbors below. The machine is built well and seems durable, but time will tell.
Works perfectly, spins a lot of water out of the clothes. I have mine on a dolly and it is so easy to move and hook up. Perfect for a single person. Very quiet.
We moved 2,000 miles across country in stages while getting our house ready to go on the market. Our washer and dryer moved in first load. We needed some way to wash clothes for a few months while we finished up getting the house ready to be listed. Laundry mats are crazy expensive and no guarantee the machines will work – we tried that method first. This little washer was a better option. It can handle a day’s change of cloths for one person no problem. A couple of towels normal size. We have bath sheets; so, we just did one at a time. One king size sheet at a time. It spins for very longtime, but the items come out not needing more than an hour or two to dry (jeans included).Instructions for use not to great, but can easily work it out. We were cleaning, finishing remodel, and packing; felt our clothes were cleaned well. We were able to use connections in our laundry room with no issue.
For one person use, this capacity is enough if you wash your clothes twice a week. It can only wash one bed sheet. The machine is good and not super heavy. This size can fit in the back seat of a full size car, if you want to move it. It’s easy to hook up. Notice that it doesn’t have “delicate/hand wash” options, although I hope it can have. It has baby wash option which gives extra rinse to clean the detergent.
The negative reviews had me a bit worried, but since I already owned a Midea appliance (a BEAST of an AC), I pulled the trigger. My unit did not arrive damaged, and the packaging was normal. The drainage “issues” people face are completely user error, just like I suspected. The drain pump requires back pressure of water in the tube in order to work properly. The drain hose must be higher than the washer (i.e., into your kitchen sink and NOT in a low bucket, bathtub, or shower). The spin cycle is strong and wrings the water out pretty damn well — enough for me to line dry. Another note: the people who say the hinges break actually broke them themselves (user error). The lid is self-closing, so you should not force it shut. Wait for it to fall down gradually by itself — “GRACEFULLY.”The noise level is slightly quieter than a normal-sized washer, and the spin cycle is a normal amount of noise. I’m a single guy and thought I would need a larger capacity. I don’t. When I take off my clothes, I place them straight into the washer and run a quick wash every day.Improvements I would like to see: There are three water levels, and I wish it would automatically save the settings you used in the previous wash. I do “Quick Wash + Level 3,” totaling 18 minutes, and the clothes come out clean using 1–2 tbsp of Tide. There is no hot water connection, and this machine is not designed for hot water. Unfortunately, the stock photos don’t show this, nor does the description. I rarely use whites and normally wash cold anyway, so it wasn’t a deal breaker. This seems like it will last a while as long as you don’t overfill it, add too much soap, or keep the drain hose low. Also, there’s a micro lint trap pouch that’s pretty cool. Empty it every week and you’ll be fine. I read the instructions — and you should too.Cheers. Hope this helps.
This washing machine is a real find for small apartments or places without a dedicated water hookup. The only minor inconvenience is that you need to manually turn the water tap on and off, because if you leave it open, water can drip due to the connection not being completely sealed. But this is really the only downside—and more of a quirk than a flaw. Overall, it’s an excellent washing machine if you have limited space or no separate water line.
The machine was working good, but it broke down after 9 months of use. Water was overflowing and at the same time leaking water at the bottom.
This is the 2nd Midea I purchased. The last one was plastic. This one is metal and very heavy and hard to move. It seems like less room inside than the last one even though it’s the same .9 cu ft washer. The last one lasted 9 years and I mostly used a minimal time wash. I don’t know if this will last that long. It sometimes makes squeak noises washing. You have to press more buttons to get it going. Water stays in the machine, and I have to use the drain hose to empty the remaining water into a container on the floor when the load is done. It is more costly than the last washer, but it seems to do a decent job washing the clothes. I just hope it lasts.
Compact, works well, efficient. Skil the laundromat
Great little washer. Perfect for apartment, easy to hook up and stash away when not needed.
Compact and perfect
Installation pretty easy and wash a few of items, it turns just perfect! Highly recommended if you need small washing machine
