It’s 6 months post install (Installed August 25). Serena 12000 BTU 230v. Purchased on Amazon. Delivery in about 5 days. Both units delivered together. Both in good shape. Purchased a vacuum pump from Amazon VIVOHOME 110V 1/4 HP 3.5 CFM Single Stage Rotary Vane HVAC Vacuum Pump, deburring tool, flaring tool, power whip, pad system, R410a adapter, RT201B Nylog Gasket/Thread Sealant, tork wrench and coolant line cover all from Amazon. Total cost ~ $1,200. Used existing 230v breaker box.Install took 2 days. I took it slow reading everything twice and checking everything twice. Youtube videos very very very helpful. No significant problems with install. (There were problems but not significant.) Pleased with the finished look.Even more pleased with the function. August in Texas can be hot. The unit was able to keep one end of the house very comfortable. (I have a Mitsu 9000 BTU mini split (1 year old) in the master bedroom to keep it cool. Professional install.)In the winter got to freezing about 10 days and it kept it’s side of the house very comfortable.Happy with the function.Mitsu vs Della.Both do their intended job without hiccups so far.Mitsu 9000 BTU with 120 volt line professional install ~ $6,500.Della Serena 12000 BTU without power line homeowner (me) install ~$ 1,200.Mitsu consNOT wifi or internet connected and this sucks. (This costs extra (alot) and has such bad reviews I didn’t get it.)Remote sucks.No display screen just indicator lights. This sucks.Della wifi internet connected. Yea.Great remote, can control via phone app (App is not the best but it works.).Della has many more modes & ways to function built in.Functional display screen.So far Della wins. And if it’s working in 4 more years it will win hands down. Two to 3 years it’s a toss up.
We have a 400 square foot garage that this went into and it works amazing! Easy to install, great directions and pretty kool remote/thermostat. Just make sure you buy and outside disconnect for it!
Really nice having this Della Mini-Split. This is my first experience with one and I installed it myself. I wanted to put the outside unit 25′ away so I also purchased the Dell 25′ lineset.What is leaned from the install is to not mount it onto the side of the house as it sou ds like a car idling outside the building. It’s a full room away and I only hear it when im in the adjacent room. Also, it seems to make the most noise only at the beginning of a heat or cooling cycle. I’ll get use to that as I care more about being warm. We get lots of snow, so I didn’t have many choices.The cooling, heating and fan all work very well. I don’t know what the night time cycle really does as the manual is vague about it, but the room always seem comfortable in the morning.The loss of a star is really because of of the interaction between the app and the remote, as there is none. So if you set the app to 72°F, and then check the remote, it will take over with what ever the last setting was on it. Sine the Della is connected to the WiFi, it wouldn’t take much to communicate to the remote via Bluetooth or WiFi.
Very pleased but some things to consider. Make sure you have 100 amps. I had to upgrade from 50 amps which meant running new wire underground. Buy a pad and put it on concrete. I used pavers. All in that’s $50. Lastly but the mini split line conduit to protect the wires and copper coming out of the wall. You’re probably going to need to also install an AC cutout. But it’s all worth having climate control.
My order with Della was terrible. First the order came in two deliveries. No one told me that. I waited 10 days not knowing that. Next I tried to get help with question. Had problems with that but finally got help.Now the inside unit displayed but now doesn’t. Checking with Della they determine it’s a bad display board. They are trying to get me one but I have my doubts they know anything.
Easy to assemble and super quite.
Had it installed in my garage. Works excellent!
So far love this as we purchased for sunroom and only used for heat so far. Heats room very quickly and quiet.
